Who we are

Ruen Mying Thai Restaurant, Lower Gate Street, Cashel, Co. Tipperary. Business owner and registration details: [restaurant to confirm].

We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us about it by email at ruenmyingthai.cashel@gmail.com, by phone on 062 63801, or by post at the restaurant address.

What we collect and why

The enquiry form. When you send the form about table bookings, groups and gift vouchers, we receive what you type in it: your name, phone number and/or email address, the date and number of people, and your message. We use this only to answer you. Legal basis: taking steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). You don’t have to use the form; you can phone us instead. Please don’t include allergy or other health information.

How the form reaches us: [by email, sent from your own email app, or through our website hosting provider: to confirm].

No cookies, no tracking. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. If we switch on a simple count of button presses (such as “call” or “directions”), it records only which button was pressed, the page and the language: nothing that identifies you and nothing stored on your device. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the website helps guests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visiting this website. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep short technical logs (such as IP address and time of visit) to keep the site secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you phone or email us (for example to book a table or order a takeaway), we use your name, number or email address and what you tell us only to answer you and prepare your order. Legal basis: taking steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Please tell the staff about allergies directly.

Links to other sites. Links to Facebook, Google Maps and Google reviews open those services, which handle your data under their own privacy policies. Nothing is loaded from them until you click.

Who receives your data

We don’t sell your data or use it for marketing. If any provider stores data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under safeguards recognised by EU law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Form enquiries and order messages are deleted [30] days after we answer or the order is done, unless we need them longer to deal with a complaint. Hosting logs are kept as set by the hosting provider: [to confirm].

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15 to 22 GDPR). Contact us using the details above. We reply within one month.
